A few things
you might wonder.
How Lumina works, what stays offline, and where to find help.
Does Lumina work without internet?
Yes. English WEB and KJV Bible text is included after first setup, and downloaded Bible packs can be read offline. Included or cached explanations can work offline. Downloads, custom AI questions and purchases need an internet connection.
Can I read in two languages?
Choose up to two active reading languages. Your primary language leads reading and explanations, and your second language is optional. Downloaded packs are kept, so changing your active languages does not mean downloading them again. English stays available as an offline fallback.
Which Bible languages are available?
Lumina offers English and downloadable packs including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Arabic, Spanish, French, German and more. The Languages page lists a dated catalogue snapshot. The Bible downloads screen in the app has the latest choices and download sizes.
Are all AI features offline?
No. Explanations included in a pack or saved on your device can be read offline. If an explanation is missing, Lumina may fetch it online or show an available English fallback. Custom Ask AI questions need internet, and usage limits apply. AI explanations are study aids to read alongside Scripture.
Do I need a Lumina account?
No Lumina account is required. Notes, bookmarks, highlights and reading-plan progress are stored on your device. Lumina does not provide account-based cloud sync for that personal study content.
Is Lumina free?
Lumina is free to download, with ads and optional in-app purchases. An optional Pro subscription provides an ad-free experience. Current subscription options, prices and benefits are shown in the app through Google Play.
Can I share verses in my language?
The Quiet Light share editor previews the complete selected verse and source. It fits the image to the passage and offers full-text sharing if a passage needs more room. Android’s share menu lets you choose where to send it.
What happens while a language downloads?
You can start reading English while another pack downloads. Downloading and Preparing are separate steps; the pack is ready after preparation completes. If you lose connection, wait for internet or use the retry action in Bible downloads.
